I have been living in the UK for 2.5years now and I can comfortably say I had the best steak Ive ever had in UK. Absolutely juicy and delicious. Presentation is good, staff is professional and friendly. I definitely recommend. Prices are decent.
Nice cozy place with only few options available on menu. Around 20 pounds for a 2 courses dinner and 25 for 3 courses excluding drinks of course. The quality of steaks is superb but can't say the same for other choices. Portion sizes is good, lacking of good options in the dessert menu. Plenty of parking spaces outside.
Good place not been for evening meal but always friendly
I went to Porterhouse to meet a friend for breakfast yesterday, there was nothing wrong with the food, poached eggs on toast and the coffee was great, however the service was terrible. We tried to catch someone's attention to order more coffees but nobody came over and we were left with the plates on the table for over 30 minutes after we had finished eating. The crazy thing was we were the only 2 people in the entire place so they weren't exactly rushed off their feet. When I complained about the service, we simply got an 'oh sorry' and a smile. Staff should be trained to deal with complaints in a much better way than this. I wouldn't recommend Porterhouse based on the service. In an age of online reviews I'm always shocked when places provide such poor service and could easily avoid reviews like this.
I've had the pleasure of visiting the Porterhouse a few times now and it has been consistently impressive. The food is of a very high standard, the staff are polite and professional. Young or old, you are welcome here. There is a very good children's menu. It is easy to find and there is always parking. You would not believe that such a lovely restaurant is tucked at the back of Thainstone Mart, yet here we are. If you've been thinking about going, delay no longer.
